Sales Policies

Our 2010 season has been HUGE!  We have 22 spectacular kids on the ground and more are coming in August and September.  We have to sell quite a few to make room for those we want to keep.  We would like to reduce our overall numbers too, to make our lives a bit easier.  We are offering top quality show prospects, nice breeding does, 3 nice herd sire prospects and a couple of wethers.

We do not have a formal waiting list.  We do post breedings and expected due dates on our Doe Page and do our very best to keep our Sales Page up to date.  If you are looking for something special let us know, and keep in touch, especially if it is a buck.

We prefer to sell our wethers, and all of our goats in (at least) pairs, unless they are going to an established goat herd.  Goats are strongly herd oriented and it is best for their health and well being for them to have the companionship of their own kind.  We do not recommend keeping a breeding pair, as they can't be kept together all the time.  A doe and wether, two does, or two wethers make a fine starter herd and will keep you entertained for hours with their antics.

Please call (919) 596-0984, or email us, maggidans@msn.com for more information and photos.   Special consideration may be given to show, 4-H, and FFA homes.  We can ship nationwide by air using Delta Pets First, or deliver to the shows we attend or you can pick goats up at the farm.  The farm is easy to reach, we are only a few miles off several major interstate highways in central North Carolina.  We attend the Florida State Fair Pygmy Goat Show in Tampa, FL in February,  the Pygmy Stampede show in early April in Nichols, SC,  the York Show in York, PA in late April, the Goatie Mountain Getaway show in Boone, NC in July, the Summer Sizzle Show in Hagerstown, MD in August, the NC State Fair in Raleigh, NC in October and the Festival of Pygmies in Greensboro, NC in November.

Does For Sale

I know the pictures below are not great and some are old.  They were taken for registration pictures and all I was trying for was to show correct color and breed markings.  I will be getting better pictures and posting them as I can.  These kids are ballistic and don't stand still very much so be patient.  Dan and I are blown away with the quality of our kid crop this year!  Any that don't sell will be very welcome to stay in our breeding program.

Pet Does

Maggidan's Minis Capri

Sire:  PGCH Simple Necessities Eason
Dam:  Maggidan's Minis Tango
DOB:  5/8/10

Capri would be a top quality show doe, except she has one extra teat.  Nature's little boo-boo makes her a nice brood doe or pet.  There is no reason why she can't be bred and make exceptional kids for you.  $150.00

Show and Breeding Quality Does

Maggidan’s Minis Mali

Sire:  Maggidan’s Minis Rulon

Dam:  Maggidan’s Minis Margo

DOB:  7/21/09

This picture is Mali's registration picture from last fall.  She has shaped up to be a very nice show quality doe.  Mali has nice length of body to make carrying kids and birthing easy.  She has nice straight legs with exceptional angulation.  She is showing good body capacity with nice extension in the prosternum and increasing depth towards the flank. From her on out she will only get better and better!   $250.00  SALE PENDING

Maggidan’s Minis Clementine

Sire:  PGCH Simple Necessities Eason

Dam:  Maggidan’s Minis Contessa

DOB:  10/2/09

This picture is from last fall.  Clementine is in a growthy stage right now but her structure is extremely nice.  She is a slightly longer doe, making for easy pregnancy and kidding.  I would call her a show quality brood doe.  She will probably look GREAT when she turns 3 or so.  $250.00

Maggidan’s Minis Divinity

Sire:  Maggidan's Minis Zaphod

Dam:  Maggidan’s Minis Moondance

DOB:  3/3/10

Divinity is one of triples from one of our best producing does.  She has great depth of body with nice extension in the prosternum.  Her legs are very straight with good angulation and width.  Her topline is exceptional.  Weaned and ready to go.  $250.00

Maggidan’s Minis Trudy

Sire:  Maggidan's Minis Tsavo

Dam:  Simple Necessities Kevy

DOB:  3/5/10

Trudy is a very feminine doe with exceptional structure.  She has a super pedigree.  She look like she will have the muscling, depth and general type that her dam lacks.  Weaned and ready to go.  $250.00  SALE PENDING

Maggidan’s Minis Darlene

Sire:  Heavenly Blessings Pizzazz

Dam:  Maggidan’s Minis Tradewind

DOB:  5/10/10

This doe is incredible!  Of course she should be, both parents are very nice show quality and have show quality pedigrees to back them up.  She is showing exceptional body capacity, has a  very sweet pygmy type head and super angulation.  She has that extra "presence" needed to do well in the showring too.  So take your pick, we will be keeping the other.  Ready to go August 1.  $250.00   SALE PENDING

Maggidan’s Minis Trillian

Sire:  Maggidan's Minis Zaphod

Dam:  Kabill's Farm Anika

DOB:  5/29/10

This is a truly terrible picture of this little doe!  She has very nice length and a very straight and level topline.  I will be getting a new picture ASAP!  She is very smoothly blended with a very nice pygmy type head.  She is definitely show quality.  She comes from easy kidding lines, her dam just spits out kids and is a great mother.   Her pedigree is exceptional too.  Ready to go August 20.  $250.00

Maggidan’s Minis Beatrice

Sire:  PGCH Simple Necessities Eason

Dam:  Maggidan’s Minis Circe

DOB:  6/9/10

This kid is NICE!  Look at the angles on those rear legs and that handful of prosternum in Dan's hand.  She is exceptionally smooth and muscular and yet very feminine.  She was not happy having her picture taken and being microchipped!  Ready to go September 1.  $250.00

Maggidan’s Minis Contessa

Sire:  Kabill's Bad Bob

Dam:  PGCH Maggidan’s Minis Natalia

DOB:  9/14/06

This is Contessa's kid picture.  If I would really improve anything it would be the width between her eyes.  She has very nice structure and carries her pregnancy and kids like a breeze.   You can't beat her bloodlines.  She is due to kid in September and will be ready to go after weaning.  $300.00

Maggidan’s Minis Miss Pittypat

Sire:  Maggidan's Minis Tsavo

Dam:  Maggidan’s Minis Moondance

DOB:  9/5/07

Pittypat is a nice caramel brooddoe.  She lacks the presence and the perfect rear legs needed for the showring.  She needs just a bit more width between the hocks to be truly competive.  Her rear leg structure is very sound she has good stifles and good angulation.  She kids very easily and is a great mom.  We are keeping her spectacular doeling, Caramel Creme (on the New Kids page she is the dark caramel with the full bellyband).  Her kids are weaned and she is ready to go.   $200.00

Simple Necessities Kevy

Sire:  PGCH Simple Necessities Eason

Dam:  PGCH Simple Necessities Keara

DOB:  12/15/07

Kevy has superior bloodlines and superior structure and smoothness of blending.  She lacks type except that she has a very nice head.  She kids easily and is a great mom.  Her doe kid is for sale above.  $200.00.

Maggidan’s Minis Sasha

Sire:  Maggidan's Minis Tsavo

Dam:  Maggidan’s Minis Contessa

DOB:  8/20/08

Sasha is a nice near show quality brood doe.  She could be more level in the rump to be truly competitive.  She is a smaller doe but has good body capacity, a very nice head.  She is bred to kid in late summer and will be available after she weans.  $250.00.

Bucks For Sale

It is our policy to sell only those bucks we would be willing to keep and use in our own herd.  This explains why we didn't keep or sell a buck until we had been breeding and improving for nearly 6 years!  A good buck brings only pride to his breeder and joy to his owner.  Most of our young bucklings, no matter their quality, are castrated at 12 weeks old.  I do try to list potential herd sire bucklings, but if you are looking for one please drop us a line so I can keep an eye out for you as our kids develop.  We offered limited buck service, call or email for details.

Maggidan's Minis Cassius Clay

Sire:  Heavenly Blessings Pizzazz
Dam:  Maggidan's Minis Margo
DOB:  4/26/10

This is one handsome boy!  Of course the pictures are beyond awful!  The first is Cassius on the day he was born and the second is his "quicky" registration photo.  He has excellent structure, a gorgeous head, great body capacity, muscling, and the showring "pop" he needs to compete.  And look at that color!  If he is anything like his dad he will pass it.  Ready to go on July 19.  $400.00 SALE PENDING

Maggidan’s Minis Meteor

Sire:  Heavenly Blessings Pizzazz

Dam:  Maggidan’s Minis Sophie

DOB:  5/18/10

We really wanted a doe, but Sophie makes bucks.  This guy screamed herdsire from day one.  He really struts his stuff and has the show ring presence and carriage to be competitive.  He is heavily muscled and heavy boned.   His head is gorgeous!  He has great angulation and tracking.  The picture does not do him any kind of justice.  He has nice slope to his rump and a long hip.  His daughters should be easy kidders like his dam.  Ready to go on August 10.  $350.00

Maggidan’s Minis Gale Force

Sire:  Maggida's Minis Tsavo

Dam:  Maggidan’s Minis Zephyr

DOB:  6/4/10

This is the breeding that made Zaphod and Tradewind, both show ring champions.  He is very young in this picture, only about 3 weeks old.  He should mature into everything his brother and sister are.  Ready to go on August 27.  $300.00

Wethers For Sale

Wethers are castrated males and make the best pets!  They never develop the odor or bucky habits that make bucks such poor pets, and they never go into "screaming heat" like so many does.  All they really require is love and attention and a proper diet to live long happy lives.  All of our wethers are disbudded (will not grow horns), castrated, microchipped, and recorded with the NPGA.  They are all priced at $75.00

Maggidan’s Minis Wether A19

Sire:  Maggidan's Minis Zaphod

Dam:  Kabill's Farm Anika

DOB:  5/29/10

A very handsome boy and will be a very nice wether for a pet or for show.  Ready to go on August 20.  $75.00. SALE PENDING

Maggidan’s Minis Wether A22

Sire:  Maggida's Minis Zaphod

Dam:  Maggidan’s Minis Pansy

DOB:  6/15/10

If it weren't for the TWO WHITE FEET, this boy would be top herdsire quality.  His belly band goes all the way around.  Once again the picture does not show his wonderful topline but we were only after a shot good enough for his registration photo.  He will be a spectacular show wether.  Ready to go on September 7.   $75.00 SALE PENDING
