Sales PoliciesWe do not have a formal waiting list. We do post breedings and expected due dates on our Doe Page and do our very best to keep our Sales Page up to date. If you are looking for something special let us know, and keep in touch, especially if it is a buck. We prefer to sell our wethers, and all of our goats in (at least) pairs, unless they are going to an established goat herd. Goats are strongly herd oriented and it is best for their health and well being for them to have the companionship of their own kind. We do not recommend keeping a breeding pair, as they can't be kept together all the time. A doe and wether, two does, or two wethers make a fine starter herd and will keep you entertained for hours with their antics. Please call (919) 596-0984, or email us, maggidans@msn.com for more information and photos. Special consideration given to show , 4-H, and FFA homes. We can ship nationwide by air using Delta Pets First, or deliver to the shows we attend or you can pick goats up at the farm. We can not ship adult bucks by air, but we can bring them to nearby shows and we may even be able to meet you partway. The farm is easy to reach, we are only a few miles off several major interstate highways in central North Carolina. We plan to attend the Florida State Fair Pygmy Goat Show in Tampa, FL in mid February, the Pygmy Stampede Show in Raeford, NC in early April, the York Show in York, PA in late April, The NPGA Convention in Perry, GA in early June, the Summer Sizzle Show in Hagerstown, MD in mid August, the NCPGC Labor Day Show in Lamar, SC on Labor Day weekend, the NC State Fair in Raleigh, NC in mid October and the Festival of Pygmies in Greensboro, NC in mid November.
Does For SaleMaggidans Minis Elvira DOB: 1/31/04 (Black doe) Elvira had 2 very difficult deliveries, the last ended in an emergency c-section. She is being sold strictly as a pet and should not ever be allowed to get pregnant. Elvira is very special to us and will go to a carefully approved home only. Priced at $75.00 Maggidan's
Minis Faberge Faberge is a sweet doe, shy but not overly so. We sold her as a kid and got her back when she failed to conceive. She has failed to breed for us too so she is being sold as a pet. It is not to say she will never get pregnant so exposure to anything but a pygmy buck would be very risky. She is showable having no disqualifying or serious faults. Priced at $75.00.
Maggidan's
Minis HoHo HoHo is a black doe with a slight mismark on her right rear leg and a small white spot on her right side. Her sire, Oberon, put a nice head on her as well as made her more compact than her dam, Moonpie. This was just what we intended with this cross. She is slightly rump high in this picture and is looking a bit more steep in the rump than what we believe she will be when she matures. Both her sire and dam are flashy goats with lots of "presence" for the show ring and excellent structure. Moonpie is a VERY easy kidder. This sweet doe will make a nice addition to any herd and should do well in the ring when she comes out of this silly looking growthy period. Priced at $250.00
Bucks For SaleIt is our policy to sell only those bucks we would be willing to keep and use in our own herd. This explains why we didn't keep or sell a buck until we had been breeding and improving for nearly 6 years! A good buck brings only pride to his breeder and joy to his owner. Most of our young bucklings, no matter their quality, are castrated at 12 weeks old. I do try to list potential herdsire bucklings, but if you are looking for one please drop us a line so I can keep an eye out for you as our kids develop. Maggidan's
Minis Oberon Oberon is a very typy pygmy buck with very good structural traits and makes very nice show quality kids. He has several National Champions in his pedigree, including his sire, his paternal grandsire and his maternal grandsire. He carries an unusual dark brown caramel trait. $250.00
Maggidan's
Minis Ivan Ivan is very strong structurally with great pygmy character. He makes exceptional show quality kids. He has a number of National Champions in his pedigree, his paternal grandsire and his maternal grandsire and great grandsire. $250.00 We often have bucklings that would make very nice herdsires, but it is our policy to castrate all bucklings at 12 weeks of age unless we have a prospective buyer. If you are in the market for a nice buck let us know and we will keep our eyes on our kids for a good choice for your herd.
Wethers For SaleWethers are castrated males and make the best pets! They never develop the odor or bucky habits that make bucks such poor pets, and they never go into "screaming heat" like so many does. All they really require is love and attention and a proper diet to live long happy lives. All of our wethers are disbudded (will not grow horns), castrated, microchipped, and recorded with the NPGA. They are all priced at $75.00 No wethers available at this time
